About Me

Hello, my name is Eric Robitaille. I am a professional Magician, Escape Artist and Juggler. I live just outside of Boston, Ma. I started performing magic at the age of 9 and had my first paid gig while I was in the United States Air Force back in 2001. I began Juggling at the age of 14 and have won many talent shows with my juggling. Escape acts came later in life around 6 years ago. First I was only performing "comedy" rope escapes or certain chain escapes in my magic shows, but then the challenge of actual escapes completely took over. I had no idea how to do any type of real escape acts but I knew I had to learn! Over that years time I purchased chains, locks and ropes of all sizes and lengths (thanks Home Depot). I also ordered a straitjacket and my father gave me his old handcuffs (he's a retired Police Officer). For months I practiced picking the locks, figuring out the straitjacket, and escaping from the ropes and chains. I had a couple of my friends tie, chain, shackle and lock me up in all different ways until I started adding the performances and challenges to my shows. These past 3 years especially, I have been completely overtaken by escape acts and can't get enough. I love giving myself something to strive for and accomplish. I also love being able to take my audiences with me on these challenging journeys!
