Great shot Roslyn!.
I want everyone to be more concerned about safety. Not only could you slip & fall, but you can do damage to your ankles. Be careful!
I'd also love to see pictures of the steam powered crane.

Ok now honestly, how secure are your feet? This doesn't look all that secure which looks great to the audience but...

I have not got a chance to do this upside down. I want too! I am looking for an inexpensive way to rig me up. Got any ideas?

If you just want to be up-side-down and want a portable rig go with gravity boots, at least I think they're called that.

I've only ever done this when there was already the stuff to hang from at the gig. The Fanfarlo shoot was done at a circus training school here in London and this pic was taken at an outdoor event where there happened to be this Victorian steam powered crane.

That was an opportunity I couldn't turn down, hence the makeshift ankle restraints (!).

Wasn't really planned.

Maybe there's going to be a new Mall opening near you. Or something else they've just finished building. Maybe you could talk to the contractors and see if they'll keep a crane around for you to do a publicity escape off of it. Its worth a go.

Not hugely secure I'll be honest. I wouldn't recommend this method to others that's for sure, but it harks back to my circus days. I used to hang like this whilst a girl spun from my neck. We also did it using mouth pieces. Kinda cool I guess ;)
